Welcome to Ann McDonald’s Café & Upper Deck, located at 8 Mary Street in the heart of New Ross, County Wexford. For over 30 years, Ann McDonald and her dedicated team have been serving locals and visitors with warmth, charm, and unforgettable food.
With its vintage yet modern design and ambient, friendly vibe, our café offers a comfortable setting for every occasion: a relaxed morning coffee, dinner with friends, or an intimate late-night meal. Our recent renovations have also reopened the second floor (“Upper Deck”), creating a fresh space to welcome more guests.
We believe in the power of local. Our food is made with care, using organic produce and trusted suppliers from the South East. Many of our signature items such as homemade scones, hearty dinners, and our extensive pancake menu reflect that philosophy.
Ann McDonald has been the heart of the business for decades, bringing to it her hospitality experience from Irish hotels. She lives with her husband Ian and their two sons on Sloe Berry Farm in Inistoige, and her roots in the area run deep.
